Settlement Services

The Settlement Grants Program offers information, support and advocacy services to newly arrived humanitarian entrants.

The program aims to increase client independence, knowledge and ability to navigate and access mainstream services and promote self-reliance to all eligible Settlement Grants Program clients in the South West Metropolitan region. As well as working with clients and families on an individual basis, group information sessions and workshops on a range of topics are provided.

Settlement support services are also available at North Lake Senior Campus to humanitarian entrants aged 16 – 25 years and in Rockingham and Mandurah to serve the Peel region.

Since July 2012 a Driver Education Program based at Fremantle Multicultural Centre has been added to the Settlement Grants Program. The Driver Education Program focuses on provision of driver education sessions, driving lessons with accredited instructors and 25 hours of supervised driving to eligible Settlement Grants Program clients.

This program is funded by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection.
